A Safe Space to
Rebuild & Heal
Additionally, experience shows that family-friend inclusion in treatment services is vital to a person's recovery plan.
To determine the best course of action for a client, ABC begins with the clinical evaluation process. This process is collaborative between yourself and the therapist. We then proceed with the most beneficial course of action based on that evaluation. Our staff conducts adult evaluations in a wide range of areas, including:
Our therapists work with adolescents struggling with issues that include substance abuse, poor school performance, poor self-image, impulse control problems, and more. These difficulties, combined with challenges in the school setting, changing home lives, the loss of loved ones, and abuse or neglect, can result in increased difficulty coping and place the adolescent at risk for difficulties in adjustment. If left untreated, these issues can manifest as school failure, addiction, and mental health complications.
Our groups provide a safe place for teens to be authentic in expressing themselves without fear of judgment. They begin to explore their current challenges and the efficacy of their current coping strategies. Our therapists teach them how to identify and label their emotions and develop skills in communicating and expressing their feelings, needs, and desires. Within the group setting, adolescents can learn how to utilize age-appropriate social skills and develop healthy friendships.
ABC provides several preventative and educational courses, including a cannabis education course and a DUI education course. We also offer multiple levels of outpatient services that address issues including anger management, domestic violence, relapse prevention, and more.
